James Jacob
James brings a thoughtful and balanced perspective to his work, combining practical, ethical accounting with a growing eye for visual storytelling. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, specializing in accounting, and has gained hands-on experience in auditing, financial analysis, and supporting organizational accountability. James leads AMPP’s financial strategy, providing insight into sustainable resource management and optimization, as well as financial growth for AMPP as a not-for-profit corporation that increases capacity, aligns with our mission, and supports long-term goals. His experience in auditing brings structure and reliability to the team through financial accounting, budgeting, transparency, and consistency.
What began as casual hikes with a camera evolved into a deeper interest in photography and observation. Through the lens, James discovered a powerful way to capture the emotional depth behind environmental and human stories—something numbers alone cannot always convey. His creative lens supports our internal team and external stakeholders to understand the impact behind every dollar, capturing the possibility of stories through both storytelling and financial feasibility. With his interest in storytelling, in addition to his financial background, James helps ensure that AMPP’s financial management meets professional standards to make our projects possible, transparent, and inspiring for others.
