Our Mission
At AMPP—Awakening Minds for the Planet and People — we weave together research and storytelling to illuminate the critical social, environmental, and economic challenges of our time. Our work emerges at the intersection of knowledge and narrative, where facts meet feeling, data gains depth, and where voices from the field shape the heart of our stories.
Our mission is to merge storytelling and research for data-driven stories and context-driven data. Whether through peer-reviewed papers, magazine features, or digital media, we aim to explore the story behind every statistic: the who, the what, and the how of those directly affected by global inequities and ecological crises. By sharing these lived experiences, we hope to make the story accessible, and the distant issues personal, for both our team and audience. We aim to foster understanding and interest in global issues by building perspective.
We believe research should not remain confined to academic and professional groups. It must echo in daily conversations, policymaking chambers, ripple through communities, and inspire individuals to act. By bridging the gap between evidence and emotion, we help translate insight into action—toward a more sustainable world.
In our approach, researchers become storytellers, and storytellers step into the field—together crafting deeply human, richly contextualized stories that give voice to otherwise unheard experiences and perspectives. Through this harmony, we offer not just information, but understanding and connection to our planet and its people.
