Megan Brooks

Megan has always been driven by curiosity, especially when it comes to how people learn about the world around them. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Calgary, where she first developed a passion for making science feel relevant and engaging. Wanting to spark that same curiosity in others, she went on to complete an education degree from the University of Calgary, to bring science to life in the classroom. While working in public education, Megan became increasingly fascinated by the learning process itself—what makes information stick, how people connect with content, and how design can shape understanding. This led her to pursue a Graduate Diploma in Instructional Design, where she developed skills in visual communication, learner-centred content development, and translating technical material into accessible formats.

She is passionate about bridging the gap between research and the public, and sees each story as a teaching opportunity that can turn complex ideas into something relatable and actionable. Megan’s skills in information dissemination are critical within AMPP’s mission, guiding content to be engaging, comprehensible, and informative. Through AMPP, she is excited to help transform global challenges into accessible, engaging stories that educate, connect, and inspire change across diverse audiences.
